Andrew Brode

Andrew Brode is Vice Chairman of the Board and Chairman of the Investment Committee. A chartered accountant who began as an investment banker, he led the management buy-in of RWS in 1995 and was its Executive Chairman from its flotation on AIM in 2003 until 2023; he remains a non-executive director and a major shareholder of RWS Holdings plc, the language, content, and intellectual-property services group.

He is Chairman of Learning Technologies Group, having negotiated the purchase of Epic Group in 2008, taken it to AIM in 2013, and chaired it through its recommended £802 million acquisition by General Atlantic, completed in 2025. Earlier he was Managing Director of Croner Publications, sold to Wolters Kluwer in 1977, and Chief Executive of Wolters Kluwer (UK) plc; he bought Eclipse Publications in a management buy-in and sold it to Reed Elsevier in 2000, and was Non-Executive Chairman of Axco Insurance Information Services, appointed by 3i, until its sale to Wilmington plc in 2010. He is Non-Executive Chairman of GRC Solutions and a non-executive director of Cera Care and of DentLuxue Holdings.
