We are honoured to announce the appointment of Sir Rupert as a Non-Executive Director at Xyra Group.
With a distinguished career spanning over four decades in law, governance, and strategic advisory roles, Sir Rupert brings a wealth of experience and integrity to Xyra’s board as we continue to scale our M&A activity and institutionalize our governance framework.
A Lifetime of Legal and Commercial Excellence
Sir Rupert qualified as a Solicitor in 1978, beginning his career in the City of London, where he specialised in Company and Commercial Law. His practice included representing public companies and managing the legal affairs of a large Central London commercial and residential estate owned by a charity.
Later, Sir Rupert moved out of London and became a Partner at a medium-sized commercial firm, where he led the Property Department. His expertise extended to high-value property transactions, serving private clients, developers, and commercial organisations with a focus on precision, risk management, and legal innovation.
In 1992, Sir Rupert founded his own law firm, building a successful niche practice rooted in client trust and professional excellence.

Beyond his legal accomplishments, Sir Rupert has served in multiple governance and advisory roles, including:
- Non-Executive Director of Dorothy House Hospice, where he contributed strategic leadership and oversight for many years
